Sheila A. Rappaport
Sheila A. Rappaport was a judge of the Colorado 2nd Judicial District. She assumed office in 2000. She left office on December 31, 2017.
Rappaport was appointed by Governor Bill Owens in 2000 to replace retiring judge Edward A. Simons.[1][2]
Elections
2014
Rappaport was retained to the Second Judicial District with 71.7 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3]
Judicial performance evaluation
The Colorado Commissions on Judicial Performance recommended that Judge Rappaport be Retained. The full report is available here.
Education
Rappaport received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and her J.D. from the University of Colorado.[4]
Career
Prior to her judicial appointment in 2000, Rappaport worked for 22 years in the Denver District Attorney’s Office as a chief deputy district attorney.[1][2]
