Campaign themes
2014
Shaddock's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[3]
Education

Privatization of K-12 education eliminates local control of schools, the educational outcomes of many of the choice schools has been disappointing, and our tax dollars should not create a profit for private providers."
Employment
- Excerpt: "The increase to our minimum wage is long overdue. Increasing the minimum wage improves the lives of the working poor, and is spread across all business equitably, leveling the playing field."
Ethics
- Excerpt: "Wisconsin citizens deserve state government that is ethical, open, accountable, and of a size to effectively do the peoples business. Partisan politics and aspirations for higher office should be set aside to ensure the interests of citizens are properly served."
- Excerpt: "Elected Officials have a fiduciary responsibility to use state tax funds responsibly and carefully. Our structural deficit is not a balanced budget."
Environment
- Excerpt: "State Government has an interest in protecting our environment and natural resources. The recent decline in DNR staff and enforcement actions, makes it difficult for the DNR to effectively protect our water, air and land resources."
