Stephen G. Ellis ran for the seat on the North Carolina 30A Judicial District, vacated by Danny E. Davis, in 2010.[1]
2010 election
Ellis was defeated by Roy Wijewickrama in the general election, receiving 46.12% of the vote.[2] Though judges in the state do not run with party affiliation, he was endorsed by the North Carolina Democratic Party.[3]
