Steven Reviczky is the former Connecticut Commissioner of Agriculture. Reviczky was appointed by Governor Dan Malloy in January 2011, and he took office on March 1.[1] Like all appointed state executives in Connecticut, the agriculture commissioner serves four-year terms. Malloy reappointed Reviczky to a second term in the position in December 2014.[2] Reviczky left office in 2019.[3]

From 2006 until his 2011 appointment as commissioner, Reviczky served as the executive director of the Connecticut Farm Bureau Association.[1] From 1998 to 2006, Reviczky was a property agent with the Connecticut Department of Agriculture’s Farmland Preservation Program, where he worked to identify and protect the state’s prime and important agricultural soils.[1] Prior, he served for nine years in various capacities at the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, supporting state parks, forests, fisheries, and wildlife management areas, and worked for five years at the state Capitol as a special legislative assistant to the secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, clerk of the Public Safety Committee, and assistant clerk of the Education Committee.[1]

Reviczky has served as Connecticut Commissioner of Agriculture since 2011.[1] He was reappointed by Gov. Malloy in December 2014.[2]
