Susan Sumner Tungate

Susan Sumner Tungate was a judge of the Twenty-First Circuit Court in Illinois.[1] First elected in 2002, she retired from the bench on November 30, 2018.[2][3][4]
Prior to her election as a circuit judge, Tungate served as an associate judge for the Twenty-First Circuit. She was selected for that position in 1998.[3]
Biography
Tungate earned a B.S.B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University and a J.D. from Loyola University in New Orleans. She was admitted to the bar in 1976.[5]

Tungate was retained to the Twenty-First Judicial Circuit Court with 81.3 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [6]
Evaluations
The Illinois State Bar Association and participating attorneys rated Tungate as Recommended for retention in a 2014 poll.[7]
