Thedrick Franklin represented Place 2 on the Crowley Board of Trustees in Texas from 2012 to 2017. He was first appointed to the board in 2012.[1] Franklin won election against challenger Jerry Nugent in the general election on May 10, 2014. He did not run for re-election in 2017.

Franklin earned his B.S. in math and physics from the University of Arkansas-Monticello in 1984. He earned an M.S. in electrical engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1986. Franklin began working as an engineering manager at Motorola Solutions Incorporated in 1996. When he served on the school board, he and his wife had three children who had attended district schools.[2][3]
