Thomas D. Oshea ran for judge on the York County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania.
2011 election
Oshea ran for an open seat on the York County Court of Common Pleas. He was defeated by Craig Trebilcock and Andrea Marceca Strong in both parties' primaries on May 17. He received 12.6% in the Democratic primary and 10.9% of the vote in the Republican primary.[1] All candidates running for the seat were cross-endorsed by the Republican and Democratic parties.[2]

Campaign statements
Oshea said, if he is elected he would push for a unified family court, where each family would get one judge who would deal with various aspects of their cases, rather than having to face different judges, which is done now.[3]
He also said that he would stay in family court for the entire 10-year term, rather than use the seat as "training ground" for other judicial aspirations.[3]
