The Judicial Update

March 23, 2011

Washington, D.C.: The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination Commission has announced that there is a vacancy on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia due to the retirement of James E. Boasberg, who has joined the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. The seat became vacant with his official retirement from the court on March 17, 2011 and the Commission has 60 days from that date to submit three candidates for nomination to President Obama. Obama will then make an appointment to the court.

Applications are being sought by the Commission for consideration. They must be received by April 14, 2011. [1]
