The United States Census Bureau found that 25.8% of Anoka County residents aged 25 years and older had attained a Bachelor's degree compared to 31.8% for Minnesota as a whole. The median household income in Anoka County was $69,139 compared to $58,476 for the state of Minnesota. Janelle Kirkeide
Personal
Janelle Kirkeide was a candidate for the District 4 seat on the Anoka-Hennepin school board. She did not win the seat in the general election on November 5, 2013. District 4 includes the communities of Ham Lake, Nowthen, Oak Grove and portions of Andover and Ramsey.
Biography
Janelle Kirkeide graduated from Coon Rapids High School before earning her B.A. in elementary education from St. Catherine’s University, her library and media specialist degree from St. Cloud State and a Master’s degree in education from St. Mary’s University. During her career, she has spent more than two decades as an educator, primarily as a library media specialist in the St. Anthony-New Brighton School District.[1] In 2006, Kirkeide ran for the office of Anoka County Commissioner District 2, but she did not receive enough votes in the primary to continue on to the general election.[2]
