Charleston, West Virginia: Circuit Court Judge Robert L. Holland, Jr. had a heart attack on September 19, 2010 and died the following day, Sept. 20th, in the hospital. He was the circuit judge for the Third Judicial Circuit, which includes the counties of Doddridge, Pleasants and Ritchie. Supreme Court Chief Justice Robin Davis commented, “Judge Holland was a fine judge and his loss will be greatly felt...He was well thought of in the judicial community and in the communities he served. Our sincere condolences go out to his family.” Holland had served on the bench since 1997 and was 57-years-old.[1][2]
