The Alabama Lee County Firefighting Districts Amendment, also known as Amendment 5, was on the ballot in Alabama on November 19, 1980, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. This measure proposed that volunteer firefighting districts may be created in Lee County. It also proposed that county funds could be used for support of these districts.[1]
