West Virginia: On Friday, March 25, U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge M. Blane Michael passed away. Michael became a federal judge on October 1, 1993, when he was confirmed by congress after being nominated by former president Bill Clinton. Senator Jay Rockefeller said former judge Michael was a, "brilliant judge who never took for granted the power and the responsibility of deciding the cases that impacted people's lives or righted serious wrongs." Michael passed away at age 68.[1][2]
