There was a proposed City Mayoral Charter Amendment on the October 6, 2009 ballot ballot in Petersburg, Alaska, where it was approved.
This proposed amendment would make it possible for the mayor to excuse counsel members from meetings, it would change section 8.1 of the city charter.
