Jim Dougherty was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Texas.

Dougherty was defeated by Republican incumbent Ted Poe on November 6, 2012.[1]

Dougherty ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 2nd District. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 29, 2012. He ran against incumbent Ted Poe (R), Kenneth Duncan (L) and Mark Roberts (G) and was defeated in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
