Judge Burmeister received his undergraduate degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University. He earned his J.D. from Wayne State University.[2]
Career
Judge Burmeister was in private practice for 12 years after graduating from law school. He was elected to the bench in 2007.[2]

Burmeister was re-elected to the probate court after running unopposed in 2012.[3][4]
