Resident of District 101 for 40 years. Married with two children and four grandchildren. Vice President or the Pines Village Group. Active with Pembroke Pines city commission. Relocated from NYC in 1980. Aircraft mechanic for Eastern Air Lines. I'm retired from the Air Force obtaining the rank of Msgt. I served in the Persian Gulf in 1993. I've served on an aircrew for approximately 11 1/2 year. I'm retired from law enforcement.

Associated degrees from BCC and the Community of the Air Force. Bachelor degree for FAU. Most of my working career has being in public service.

I volunteer with Coastal Boxer Rescue. I'm a member of the American Legion.
Goals: Florida water supply free from contaminants. Solid waste if a problem. Safe schools and neighborhoods. Balanced budget. Among other issues.
I've received endorsements from VoteWater.org and Florida Right to Life - frtl.org.
  • Strong Leadership Benefits the Communities as a whole.
  • Law abidiing citizens need to feel save and secure within their homes and neighborhoods
  • Veterans health care and mental health. Mental health should reach out to other areas of the community also as needed.
Law enforcement and First Responders, Environment, Education, Housing which is becoming more unaffordable. Local community businesses (mom and pop). Elderly. Balanced budget. Tax money has to have accountability in its usage.
General Curtis Le May. I read his biography. He came up the hard way to achieve becoming a Joint Chief of Staff. He had the United States first and foremost in our best interests . Always an uphill battle with congress and the then Secretary of Defense for funds and projects to protect the US. He showed that if you persevere you can accomplish your objectives. Peace through Military strength and deterrence. He was the architect of creating and putting in place the Strategic Air Command (SAC).
Biography of General Curtis Le May. You can overcome obstacles through hard work to reach your objectives.
Uphold the oath of office. Protect and defend the Constitution or the United States and of Florida. Once elected stick to your platform since that is what mostly got you elected. Do as you said you would. Honestly. Integrity. Constituent makes contact with your office make sure you or a legislative aid answers their concern.
Address issues of the district and the communities that make up the district. Work with other legislatures in a bipartisan manner. Introduce bills that help the community and that of Florida and get them past into law. Maintain budget accountability. Florida has a strong reserve fund. Cut out unnecessary funding from the budget.
Serving in the public trust for many years I'd like to think I did what I could within my power to make life better for everyone in our community, District and the state of Florida a place everyone would want to be at.
I was 16 or 17. I was at my relatives house and they were planning a trip to FL. I said can I go too in a joking manner. My uncle being the kind of man he was said get permission from your parents, pay the airfare and he would take care of the rest. Always respected him and in time of need he was there.
1969 during high school I worked at an Army Navy store. Owner taught me how to do clothing alterations. Trusted me alone in the store when he went on his meal break. Explained to me about finances and how I don't get to keep all of my salary but the government gets a cut .
Starlifter by Harold H. Martin. Reflects in real time my military career
Jimmy Stewart . Gave up a career to re enter military service.
Being laid off from work a month before our wedding. Being out of work during the Eastern Air Lines Labor dispute. Very difficult financially. Upon my deployment to the Persian Gulf my wife and young children stayed with family in NYC.

I was hit and dragged down interstate 95 with the vehicle on top of me and my Harley Davidson by a driver who shouldn't have been driving and with insufficient insurance. Suffering a broken femur and other injuries. Took many months of rehabilitation.

If I didn't have adequate insurance I'd be in financial ruin during my retirement. Insurance law need to change to cover the victim.
It doesn't hurt to have previous experience. People who self educate and are active in local politics are of a benefit also. Politics seem to be one of the only positions a person need not be qualified or have any knowledge of. I wouldn't want my doctor to just say I'm a doctor but I didn't have medical training or a pilot that never flew an airplane.
The right person with a passion to do what is right for the community and not having any self serving interest would be more viable. Like anything else it's one the job training.
Budget, Environment, Population Growth, Housing, Crime, Illegal drugs, Infrastructure , Transportation, Affordability of Housing, Health care
Compromise get on the same page and work together to accomplish the goals needed to keep Florida prospering.
I do. Have to have a rapport on both sides of the isle. Legislative session is limited and need to make the most of what time is allowed. This is deemed a part time position but with full time responsibilities.
District 101 favors a particular party and or voting group. The district line to my knowledge are slated to be redrawn in 2022. No help to the 2020 election. FL constitutional amendment 5 and 6 if I remember correctly that were past in 2018 that district lines are to be drawn as not to favor a candidate or particular voting group. As per the 2010 census there were approximately 155,600 residents. As of the current registered voters there are a total of 94,894, Democrats 55,920, Republican 13,316 and NPA 22,272. How is this on an even playing field?
Military & Veterans, Environmental, Criminal Justice, Transportation, Finance Oversight. Although there are other areas of interest. Can't serve on numerous committees and be proficient.
Governor Bob Graham. Born and raised in Florida. Severed the state in several capacities. Had the state of FL in his and our best interests. Seemed genuine without hiding agenda.
