Steve Floyd is the judge for the Tom Green County Court in Texas. He was appointed by the Tom Green County Commissioners' Court on November 19, 2013, for a term beginning December 1.[1] He was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[1]

Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 61.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Richard Easingwood.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Career
From 2004 until his judicial appointment in 2013, Floyd served a Tom Green County commissioner (Precinct 3).[4] Before being elected commissioner, he was a justice of the peace for 13 years.[1]
