Noteworthy events

Piercing Shop Voyeurism Case

A tattoo and piercing shop owner in Cheyenne was charged with felony voyeurism for secretly videotaping women while he pierced their genitalia. Judge Campbell acquitted the shop owner because the voyeurism statute requires that the perpetrator look into a private area. The piercing shop owner was allowed in the room for the piercing procedures, so the defendant's actions did not fall under the statute.[6]
