Toby Gilley

Toby Gilley is a judge of the Rutherford County General Sessions Court Part III in Rutherford County, Tennessee.[1] He was elected to the court on August 7, 2014, and began serving on September 1. His current eight-year term expires in 2022.[2]

Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.
General: He defeated incumbent Judge Larry D. Brandon in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 66.9 percent of the vote.

Education
Gilley received his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1992 and his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee in 1997.[4]
Career
Prior to his judicial election in 2014, Gilley was a partner at the law firm of Rucker, Rucker & Gilley Law Firm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He has previously served as a city councilman for the City of Murfreesboro for thirteen years.[5]
