Troia earned his undergraduate degree and a J.D. from St. John's University.[1]
Career
Prior to his appointment to the New York Court of Claims and the New York Supreme Court for the 13th Judicial District, Troia served as a judge of the New York City Criminal Court in Richmond County, New York from 2010 to 2020. He was appointed to this position in 2010 by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.[1] Troia also served as a principal court attorney for the New York Supreme Courts, an attorney in private practice, and as an attorney at the New York City Law Department for the Torts Division.[1]
