|- Financial responsibility is a top priority for me. I am committed to ensuring the district manages taxpayer funds responsibly and transparently. I will ensure that the district maintains a well-balanced and sensible budget, and that updates on how funds are spent are communicated to the public in a timely and accessible manner.
- Safety is a top priority for every family who sends their child to school. I am committed to ensuring that our schools meet the highest safety standards and are prepared for every possible scenario. This means constantly evaluating our security and communication systems, and researching and implementing the latest in safety technology.
- We know that the primary purpose of school is to teach students the essential skills of reading, writing, and math along with other academic subjects. According to the most recent data, only about 20-30% of middle and high schoolers in ECISD are on grade level for reading and math. I am committed to tackling academic gaps in our students' learning. This means ensuring that curriculum materials are rigorous, yet accessible, and that instructional practices are designed and implemented to produce positive results.
