Arizona: Last week, President Obama nominated two individuals to the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Jennifer Guerin Zipps is currently a Magistrate on the court and Rosemary Marquez is a lawyer in private practice. Both will next in the confirmation process face the Senate Judiciary Committee.[1]

Zipps worked in private practice from 1991 to 1995, and as Assistant U.S. Attorney in Arizona from 1999 until 2005.[1]

Marquez has spent the last eleven years in private practice, but before that served as a Deputy County Attorney in Pima County.[1]
