BETHEL, Alaska: The four applicants who've applied for the superior court vacancy on the Fourth Judicial District, have been reviewed by the Alaska Judicial Council.[1] The vacancy was created by the unexpected death of Marvin Charles Hamilton III who served as a superior court judge in Bethel, Alaska.[2]

After public meetings in October and November the most qualified applicants will be sent on to the Governor. The four applicants are: Chuck Ray, David Avraham Voluck, Angela Greene, and Matthew Widmer. In a survey by attorneys, Chuck Ray and David and Avraham Voluck received a rating of 4.1 out of 5 while Angela Greene and Matthew Widmer each received a 3.4.[1]
