In Place 4, incumbent Patricia O'Cana-Olivarez faced challenger Marina Salinas. Place 5 incumbent J.C. Avila ran against challenger Charlie Garcia III.[2][3]
Incumbents Mendoza and Avila both lost their re-election bids to challengers in the general race. Treviño won the seat in Place 2 while Garcia won the seat in Place 5. In Place 3, Zamora defeated Gonzales and in the Place 4 race challenger Salinas was defeated by incumbent O'Cana-Olivarez.[4]
