In 1898, voters decided on three statewide ballot measures in South Dakota on November 8.
- Three of the measures were legislatively referred constitutional amendments.
- Voters approved two (66%) and rejected one (33%) measures.
- One of the measures created the initiative and referendum process for South Dakota, though none would come to the ballot until 1908.
