Nomination to Chancery Court

Strine was nominated for the position of Chancellor (chief of the Chancery Court) by Governor Jack Markell in June 2011. The nomination was approved by the state senate on June 22, 2011. He succeeded William B. Chandler, III in the position.[8][9][10]

Markell said in a statement:

Vice Chancellor Strine has been a leading voice in corporate America and a proud advocate for our state and the Court of Chancery.
