Frequency of voting with Democratic leadership
According to a July 2010 analysis of 1,357 votes cast from January 1, 2009 to June 16, 2010, Kanjorski has voted with the House Democratic leadership 96.4% of the time.[1] That same analysis reported that he also voted with party leadership 97.2% of the time in 2010.
Washington Post Analysis
A separate analysis from The Washington Post from July 23, 2010, concluded that he votes 97.3% of the time with a majority of Democrats in the House of Representatives.[2]

Kanjorski collected more than $409,000 during the 2010 campaign aimed at retaining his seat against Republican challenger, Lou Barletta, the former mayor of Hazleton. Kanjorski has collected $226,000 of those contributions - 55 percent of the total - from sources outside Pennsylvania. More than $100,000 of his campaign funds came from sources in New York and Washington, D.C.
When looking at contributions only from Pennsylvania sources, Barletta has out-fundraised Kanjorski. Barletta only brought in $28,000 from beyond the state's borders.[3]
On November 2, 2010, Lou Barletta won election to the United States House of Representatives. He defeated Paul E. Kanjorski in the general election.[4]
