Jim Pounds is a judge for the First Judicial District of Mississippi.[1] He was elected to the position in 2006.[2][3] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins in 2015 and expires in 2018.[4][5]

Education

Pounds earned a B.S. degree in banking and finance from Mississippi State University, going on to receive his J.D. from the Mississippi School of Law (Jackson) in 1981.[2]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2006, Pounds worked as an assistant district attorney.[2]
