Jim Persons is a judge for the 8th Chancery District of Mississippi.[1] He was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins in 2015 and expires in 2018.[2][3]

Education

Persons earned a B.A. from Millsaps College, going on to receive a J.D. from the University of Mississippi and an L.L.M. in taxation from New York University.[4]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2002, Persons practiced law on the Gulf Coast. He previously practiced law in Jackson, Mississippi from 1967 until 1974.[4]
