Ginger Poynter
Ginger Poynter is an attorney in Mobile. She ran for election to the Baldwin County District Court in Alabama in 2014.[1] She ran for chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court as a write-in candidate in 2012, but dropped out of the race before the general election.[2][3]

General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 26.8 percent of the vote. She competed against Michelle M. Thomason.

Poynter received her J.D. from the Regent School of Law in Virginia.[4]
Career
Poynter has spent ten years as an attorney in private practice. Before that, she served as a prosecutor in Texas.[4]
