The Maine Sewage Treatment Facilities Construction Bond Issue, also known as Question 3, was on the November 3, 1987 ballot in Maine as a legislatively referred bond question, where it was approved.[1] The measure issued $8.3 million in bonds for the construction of sewage treatment facilities throughout the state.[2][3]
Background
In 1986, a legislatively referred bond question provided $12 million in bonds for sewer treatment facilities.[1]
Aftermath
In 1988, a legislatively referred bond question issued $12 million in bonds for sewerage facilities construction. In 1989, another issue of $4.4 million was approved for similar purposes. [1]
