Maryland Potomac River Compact, Amendment 16 (1960)

The Maryland Potomac River Compact Amendment, also known as Amendment 16, was on the November 8, 1960 ballot in Maryland as a veto referendum, where it was approved. The measure approved, confirmed and ratified the Potomac River Compact. The Potomac River Compact was a joint effort with Virginia to conserve and improve the fishery resources of the tidewater portion of the Potomac River[1][2][3]
