Dailey ran for election to the Vigo County Superior Court.
Primary: He ran unopposed in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 48.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Lakshmi Reddy.

Education
Dailey earned his undergraduate degree from Wabash College and his J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law—Indianapolis.[3]
Career
Dailey began his legal career 25 years ago as a law clerk. He went on to work as an attorney in private practice where he currently focuses on family law matters. Dailey has served as a judge pro tem for local judges and juvenile court magistrates and also serves as the Terre Haute City Court Judge.[3]
