A Falcon School District Levy Increase measure was on the November 1, 2011 ballot in the Falcon school district area which is in El Paso County.
This measure was defeated
- YES 3,816 (29.38%)
- NO 8,813 (67.62%)

This measure sought to increase the current levy by a rate of $5 million a year for a continuing period of time in order to pay for new teachers, reducing class sizes, updating technology throughout the district and increase the transportation system.[2]
School officials noted that the free bus system had to be cut because of budget shortfalls and were hoping to be able to reinstate that service with this levy override. The levy would have added around $4.70 per month for each $100,000 of assessed property value to the current tax rate in the district. Officials also noted that they realize it is never a good time to ask for more money, but saw these needs as vital to the continued education and improvement of students.[3]
