This measure sought to allow the district to exceed the set revenue limit by a rate of fifteen percent for a further six years in order to pay for maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Governing Board of Florence Unified School District No. 1 of Pinal County, Arizona, adopt a General Maintenance and Operation Budget which includes an amount that exceeds the revenue control limit specified by statute by fifteen percent for fiscal year 2012-2013 and for six subsequent years as described below? The 2012-2013 budget override authority represents a continuation and increase of the existing 10% and 5% budget override authorities which are scheduled to phase down by one-third in each of fiscal years 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 and terminate on June 30, 2014 if the voters do not approve the continuation and increase.[3]
