A Gallia County General Health District was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Gallia County, Ohio where it was approved.[1]


This measure replaced a tax for 0.5 mill for each dollar of valuation for 10 years commencing in 2012.

Text of measure

Language on the ballot:

A replacement of a tax for the benefit of THE GALLIA COUNTY GENERAL HEALTH

DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO MEET THE EXPENSES OF SAID HEALTH DISTRICT at a rate not exceeding five-tenths (0.5) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to five cents ($0.05) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of ten (10) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013[1][2]
