A Raccoon Township tax levy was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Gallia County, Ohio where it was approved.[1]


This measure renewed a levy not to exceed 0.3 mill for each dollar of valuation which amounts to three cents ($0.03) for each one hundred dollars of valuation for 5 years for fire protection commencing in 2013.

Text of measure

Language on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Raccoon Township for the purpose of FIRE PROTECTION

at a rate not exceeding three-tenths (0.3) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to three cents ($0.03) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.[1][2]
