An Exceed Revenue Limits referendum, officially titled "Question 2," was on the April 7 ballot in Ripon, Fond du Lac County.
Status
Passed, with 1,077 "yes" votes and 898 "no" votes.[1][2]
Text of measure
Shall the following Resolution be approved?
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET TO EXCEED REVENUE LIMIT FOR SIX YEARS FOR NON-RECURRING PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Ripon Area School District, Fond du Lac, Winnebago and Green Lake Counties, Wisconsin that the revenues included in the School District budget for six years beginning with the 2009-2010 school year and ending with the 2014-2015 school year be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $500,000 a year, for non-recurring purposes consisting of replacing textbooks, updating curriculum, updating technology,
performing maintenance and replacing vehicles.[3]
