Tolleson City Home Rule Expenditure Limitation Question (March 2013)
A Tolleson City Home Rule Expenditure Limitation proposal was approved on the March 12, 2013 election ballot in Maricopa County, which is in Arizona.
This question authorized the city of Tolleson to continue for four years the Home Rule Option Alternative Expenditure Limitation, which was adopted by a vote of the people in 2009 and approved through 2013-2014. Under this plan the City estimates it will be allowed to expand approximately $49.6 million in 2013-2014, $52.1 million in 2014-2015, $60.695 million in 2015-2016 and $63.2135 million in 2016-2017. If this question is not approved the city will remain under the state-imposed limitations of approximately $13.4 million, $13.5 million, $16.6 million and $14.8 million for the four years respectively.[1]
