A. Leon Stanback, Jr.
Honorable A. Leon Stanback, Jr. was a superior court judge for the 14th Judicial District of the Third Division of the Superior Court, serving Durham County, North Carolina. He was appointed to the court in 1989 and retired in late 2009.[1]
Education
Stanback received both his B.S. and his J.D. from the North Carolina Central University.[2]
Career
Prior to serving on the Superior Court bench, Judge Stanback served as Parole Commissioner with the North Carolina Parole Commission, practiced law with his private firm of Stanback & Stanback and served as an Assistant District Attorney for Guilford County, North Carolina.[3]
