I am mother, a gun violence survivor, and a human rights activist. I got my bachelor's degree at East Tennessee State University.
I stand for the families of our community, and it has always been my calling to support and defend the equal rights of every human being.
I am running for Senate because I am committed to democracy, as not simply a political value, but as a means of restructuring society.
I stand for the working class, the children, and the right to quality healthcare for everyone. I have a duty to ensure that people's concerns are heard and I will work non-stop until we fix the problems in our area.
My motto is "No one gets left behind. No one gets forgotten". We are one big family, and we can be the change that we want to see!
  • I want to expand Medicaid to make sure all people of Tennessee have healthcare.
  • I support public school funding and raising teacher pay.
  • I want to revitalize our rural areas, by supporting out local farmers and small businesses.
I am personally passionate about every single platform I have. They all go hand in hand together to make sure this state works for everyone. Too many people are marginalized. We need equitable laws that focus on equality for everyone from the most rural corners of the state to the most urban areas.
I look up to Bernie Sanders. He has never changed his views or his policies to suit others. He is genuine and has fought for the things he believes in his whole life.
Like him, I grew up in a low income family. I am the working class and that's who I actually stand for also. He gave me the courage to run for office and to make a difference.
I believe the most important characteristics and principles are having empathy, understanding, tolerance, and compassion.
You need to know and be able to understand what people go through and deal with, and actually want to make a difference in their lives.

I think that of you want to run for office, that you should have an equal opportunity to, whether you have experience or not. Some things about humans, are we learn and we adapt.

Like any job you come into you have to learn and running for office is no different.

We actually need more working class people to represent the rest of the population.
