Bill Golderer
Bill Golderer was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania.[1] Golderer was defeated by Mary Ellen Balchunis in the primary.

Meehan defeated Stan Casacio in the Republican primary, while Balchunis defeated Bill Golderer to win the Democratic nomination. The primary elections took place on April 26, 2016.[2][3]

Golderer was one of the initial members of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's Emerging Races. Emerging Races is the second tier of the Red to Blue program. According to the DCCC, it includes the districts "where campaigns are on track and working hard to put seats in play."[4][4]
