I am a graduate of Texas A&M University and currently working as a government employee overseeing the construction of highways and intersections within the Houston District. I am now attending the University of Houston for two degrees, Mathematics B.A. and Health after work. I was a child in foster care and that is one of the major issues that I would like to increase funding for.
  • More Federal Funding for Public Transportation
  • Free Community and Technical Colleges
  • Overhaul the Public Service Forgiveness Loans to lower amount of years required under the payment plans.
I am particularly passionate about improving the public transport system as to allow low-income citizens the ability to travel to high paying jobs without the need to get into tens of thousands of dollars in debt to buy a car. From my childhood home to my current job is 20 minutes without traffic. If public transportation was my only option, that would turn into an hour trip. I would like to reduce that time greatly with federal funding.

Another policy I would like to change is the rising costs of attending college. Many of the Congressmen graduated college when 4 years worth of tuition would only pay for 1 year of the current cost of attendance now. The politicians over 65 in Congress have no idea on how the cost of living has changed dramatically and do not know the struggles of the lower middle class.
Freedom Writers is a movie that would help someone understand the type of person that I choose to emulate.
The ability to understand the industries and topics that a bill could affect.
The core responsibilities are to be the voice of your constituents regardless of personal beliefs and opinions.
The first historical event that I remember is the 2008 financial collapse of the U.S. I remember that because gas was over $4 a gallon and I would have to sell candy at school in order to help pay to go to the library.
My first job was working at McDonald's at 16 and I worked at various locations for 5 years. I have moved up from a crew person to working under a Franchisee managing four stores.
A Series of Unfortunate Events. As a child in foster care I could relate to this book greatly.
The ability to have representatives from various districts within a state voice the concerns of their constituents directly.
No, I believe they should have experience in legislating certain industries that they are familiar with.
The greatest challenge that the United States' will have in the current decade is the radicalization of both major political parties and the removing of individual rights for corporate gain.
I would like to be a member in the Transportation and Infrastructure, Education and Labor, Natural Resources, and "Science, Space, and Technology" committees.
I believe there should be an upper age limit since their is a minimum age limit. There should be no reason that we have individuals way past retirement age making laws for the entire country.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez currently has shown that members in their 30's and younger can have a major influence on gathering support for various movements.
Compromise is necessary when both major parties are willing to concede portions of their goals to legislate. Currently there has been little to no compromising over important issues lately that could advance the United States.
