Christy Stutzman
Christy Stutzman (Republican Party) was a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 49. She assumed office in 2019. She left office on December 14, 2020.
Stutzman (Republican Party) ran in a special election to the U.S. House to represent Indiana's 2nd Congressional District. She did not appear on the ballot for the special general election on November 8, 2022.
On November 24, 2020, Stutzman announced that she would resign from her seat in the Indiana House effective December 14, 2020, in order to focus on her dinner-theater business. She cited Gov. Eric Holcomb (R)'s response to the coronavirus pandemic as the reason she decided to focus on her business.[1]
Biography
Christy Stutzman is a former school music teacher and choral director for Clinton Christian School. She has also taught speech, English, and dramatic production in both junior and senior high schools. Stutzman has also been a co-owner for several small businesses including the Legacy Theatre Group, Stutzman Power Equipment, and the Schönbrook Farm & Inn.[2]
