|- I want to see continued economic prosperity for our area, with good jobs for everyone.
- To ensure our economic future, I want our education system to serve everyone, with quality preschool, K-12, colleges, and training programs for those not headed to college, or those looking for a change.
- Our district can't prosper if we don't have quality, affordable health care, so I will work to ensure healthcare options exist for everyone.
I tell this story to people because, like all of us, my background informs my thinking on policy. When I think about poverty, when I think about mental health care, when think about foster care, when I think about public education - I'm thinking about the child I was. We can't solve problems like poverty overnight, but we can ensure that children are protected to the best of our ability.
