Alabama 10th Judicial Circuit


Eugene Raymond Verin was a civil division judge of Circuit 10 in Alabama. He served in the Bessemer Division of Jefferson County, Alabama from 1998 until 2016, when he did not seek re-election.[1][2][3]

2010 election

Verin was re-elected after running unopposed.[4]

Education

Judge Verin received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1978 and his law degree from Howard University School of Law in 1981.[2]

Career

Judge Verin was admitted to the practice of law on April 23, 1982.[5] He began his career as a staff attorney for the Tuscaloosa Regional Office of the Legal Services Corporation of Alabama and then joined the law firm Shores, Larkin & Massie in 1983. From 1985 to 1987, he worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Bessemer, Alabama. He then worked as a part-time municipal judge in Bessemer and ran his own general practice law firm until 1998.[2]
