Fred A. Pierantoni, III is a judge for Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in Pennsylvania. He was elected in 2011 and his term expires in 2021.
Education
Pierantoni earned his B.A. in political science from Wilkes University graduating Cum Laude in 1980. He then received his J.D. from the Temple University School of Law in 1983.[1]
Career
Pierantoni served as a District Judge from 1992 until 2011. He also served as an private practice from 1983 until present. He was associated with the firm Rosenn Jenkins & Greenwald from 1988 until 1992. He served as the Luzerne County Assistant District Attorney Senior Trial Assistant from 1988 until 1992.[1]
2011 election
Pierantoni won the Republican and Democratic party primaries on May 17. He received 9.9 percent in the Democratic primary and 7.6 percent of the vote in the Republican primary.[2] He was re-elected in the general election on November 8, winning 15.3 percent of the vote.[3]
