Lael Elisabeth Montgomery
Lael Elisabeth Montgomery was a judge for the Colorado 20th Judicial District Court. She was appointed to this position in August of 2001.[1] She was retained in 2010 to a six-year term that would have ended in January of 2017, [2][3] however, Montgomery retired from the court on October 1, 2011.[4]
Education
Montgomery graduated from the University Colorado School of Law and was admitted to practice in 1982.[1]
Career
Montgomery began her career as a Deputy District Attorney in the 20th Judicial District. After 14 years in this position, she was appointed to the Boulder County Court, effective January of 1997. She served on this court until her appointment to District Judge in August of 2001.[1]
2010 election
Montgomery was retained in 2010 with 73.88% of the vote.[3][5]

Retention recommendation
Montgomery was recommended for retention by the Colorado Office of Judicial Performance Evaluation.[6]
