Laura K. Grandy
Laura K. Grandy was a judge on the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Illinois.[1] She was sworn in on March 12, 2010, and retired on March 11, 2024.[2][3]
Education
Grandy received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University and her J.D. from St. Louis University.[4]
Career
Grandy specialized in bankruptcy law for over 25 years. She worked as a partner of Mathis, Marifian, Richter and Grandy Ltd. for ninteen years. From 1991 until her appointment as a bankruptcy judge, she was a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Illinois.[2]
