Louis E. Azar was a 2016 Democratic candidate for the District 17 of the Rhode Island State Senate. Azar did not qualify for placement on the primary ballot.[1]

Azar ran in the 2012 election for Rhode Island State Senate District 17. He was defeated by John J. Cullen in the Democratic primary on September 11.[6][7]

2010
Azar was defeated by Linda Noble (D) in the September 14th primary. The winner will go on to face incumbent Edward O'Neill (I) in the November 2nd general election.[8]
